This is Why I am stuck being broke!

MY BROKE LIFE STORY, ARE YOU BROKE TOO??!?

Hello everyone,

I am here to share a little something that is kinda mind blowing
And mind boggling at the same time.

I am stressed, and depressed like no ones business. Soooo here's my story, I have four kids, am broke and disabled living off SSI and EBT!

$783 dollars a month from SSI
$921 dollars of EBT (food stamps) a month
and dying slowly. I am unable to get a job.

If I was able to get a job, my SSI would be cut and so would my EBT. Now this sounds like a great thing because it would be balanced from the income of having a job.
Let's break this down a little so you can see why

A.) that would be a bad idea money wise and still be broke.
B.) physically couldn't so still broke and dying slowly.

A.) Money wise: $783 SSI, $921 EBT = $1704 Mind you the $921 can only be spent on food.

So my monthly bills:

 Rent: $700,

Electric $100,

Gas $35 (not winter time so its kinda low)

Water $35,

Trash ($17 a month - broken down because I pay 46 every 3 months)

Car insurance (have to get to doctor's appointments) Is $42 a month

(still have not factored in gas for the vehicle or the maintenance or hygiene things needed for the kiddos and family.)

Rough estimate of monthly debt is around $929 (for just these few things I posted)

Added in the gas and maintenance and hygiene things would bring me

 Over $1200 a month!!

This is just the NON-Food items!!

EBT is breaking down weekly spending and can make this last all month with bulk buying and making leftovers. Food pantries help with this too, I go to them about 2 times a month for help.

B.) Now onto the part that I would still be broke if I got a job. (if I was physically able).

Let's say I was making a good $9.00 a hour working about 28 hours a week. (this is average part time hours)

I would make a whooping $252 a week before taxes. Well, taxes would take about 9% so $229 after taxes.

Ooo that's nice pay bump huh? well short lived because making $229 x 4= $
917 a month.

Hmm that means that the added $917 dollars would actually look like this for my total amount for the month $1100 would be about the amount
I would have with SSI included at $200.

Yeah, they get cut all the way down.

Now this amount does not include the $200 in EBT, which I would still be paying almost 900 a month for food because I have four kids, and they eat.

So total a month that is given to me is around $1300 for everything.  This looks great right????

I still have to shovel out almost $1200 a month on bills NOT INCLUDING FOOD!. I still would not be making enough with a part time job. Let's see about full time job flowing cash?

Full time is 40 hours and up so let's say 40 at $9 an hour.

 $360 a week before taxes.

Take out the taxes, about 16% in taxes (this varies by state and amount claimed) will leave me with $302 after taxes.

Monthly that would be $1200 a month...... How is that possible?

I am only 100 more for my monthly income.....

This is insane, you're telling me that I am only taking home an extra $100 a MONTH working 12 HOURS MORE?????

OMG, that would only leave me with about $100 in savings, it would take me 1000 months to just get that $100 a month to $100,000 dollars.

Still not enough to buy a house.

Also If I worked that full time job hours (NO EBT OR SSI) because that would technically mean I don't need any help by my states standards.

What am I to do then?

Well, I am going to start figuring out ways to make additional money since I can not physically work.

I want to put away even more money than that $100 a month.

I want to get to the point of putting $1000 a week into my savings account.

This way that 83 years would become 83 Weeks.

I want to set my children up for financial success and myself up for financial freedom.

How am I going to do this you ask?

I am going to start writing it out and sharing with everyone everything I know about this world.

Yes, I am going to share with children that are about to graduate that they should start saving NOW!

Start working for the better things in life before they even leave their parents house.

I am going to share the go to things to do in life that do not involve working your ass off at a 9 to 5 job.

Believe me when you get old and grey like me you will see that life is way more exciting than just working all the time.

I am going to reach for the stars and continue to work hard for what I believe will make me a better person and give back to those in need.

 Let's start making that happen.
